Shout out Jaylen Brown!

With all the discourse and trade rumors surrounding Jaylen Brown of the Boston Celtics, I wanted to share some thoughts of mine regarding this whole situation. If you’re unaware, JB has been has been at odds with the media and NBA commentators who consistently downplay the value he brings on and off the court. He rightfully calls out the clear agenda against him from the powers that be, like leaving off the reigning ECF and Finals MVP from the Olympic team in 2024 and the proliferation of fake/biased “analytics” claiming that Jaylen Brown (one of the best two-way players in the entire league) is somehow “7th best” on his team. This stems from his advocacy and outspoken nature on a variety of socio-political topics that certain parties would rather not be discussed - such as economic empowerment, social engineering, and media accountability.

In a country and a time like this, Jaylen Brown epitomizes everything that scares the current power structure. While there are many people who’d prefer if he’d just shut up and dribble - he’s an intelligent, principled Black man who knows himself, his value, and what he’s here to do. He refuses to let anyone put him in a box or stifle his God-given voice.

The Celtics and the City of Boston are lucky to have such an ethical leader representing us. As an athlete-activist, he carries the torch passed to him from the late great Celtics legend Bill Russell. Jaylen Brown is an inspiration to all, especially to the Black communities of Boston that he does so much work for. We stand with you 777%. I see and salute you, King. We should all be putting respect on this great man’s name.
